10-Minute Creamy Garlic Butter Shrimp
This dish is rich, savory, and tastes like it took hours, even though it’s ready in a flash.
Ingredients
1 lb (450g) Large shrimp (peeled and deveined, tails on or off)
2 tbsp Olive oil
4 tbsp Unsalted butter
5-6 cloves Garlic (minced)
1/2 cup Heavy cream
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
1 tsp Paprika
Salt and Pepper (to taste)
Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Optional: A squeeze of fresh lemon juice
Instructions
Season the Shrimp: Pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel. Season them with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Sear the Shrimp: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp in a single layer. Cook for about 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from the pan and set aside.
Make the Sauce: In the same pan, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant (don't let it burn!).
Simmer: Reduce heat to medium. Pour in the heavy cream. Let it simmer for 2 minutes. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce thickens slightly.
Combine: Add the shrimp back into the pan and toss to coat in the creamy sauce. Squeeze a little lemon juice over the top if you like a bit of brightness.
Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley.
Serving Suggestions
Over Pasta: Toss it with linguine or fettuccine.
Low Carb: Serve over zoodles (zucchini noodles) or steamed asparagus.
Classic: Serve with a side of crusty warm bread to soak up all that garlic butter sauce.
Enjoy your cooking! Is there a specific ingredient you remember seeing in the photo that I should add?
