The Easiest 3-Ingredient BBQ Beef Ribs

Prep time: 5 minutes | Cook time: 3.5–4 hours | Servings: 3–4

Ingredients

Beef Back Ribs: 3–4 lbs (approx. 1.5–2 kg).
BBQ Sauce: 1 bottle (18 oz) of your favorite brand (Honey, Hickory, or Spicy).
Dry Rub/Seasoning: 2 tbsp of a pre-mixed Steak Seasoning or simply a mix of Salt and Black Pepper.

Instructions

Preheat: Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
Season: Place the ribs on a large piece of heavy-duty aluminum foil. Season both sides generously with your dry rub or salt and pepper.
The First Bake (The Tenderizing Phase): * Wrap the ribs tightly in the foil, ensuring no steam can escape.
Place the foil packet on a baking sheet and bake for 3 to 3.5 hours. This slow cook breaks down the collagen, making the meat incredibly tender.
The Sauce (The Glazing Phase): * Remove the ribs from the oven and carefully open the foil (watch out for hot steam!).
Drain any excess liquid from the foil.
Brush a thick layer of BBQ sauce over the top of the ribs.
The Finish: * Leave the foil open and turn your oven up to 400°F (200°C) or set it to Broil.
Put the ribs back in for 5–10 minutes until the sauce is bubbly, sticky, and slightly charred.
Rest: Let the ribs rest for 5 minutes before slicing between the bones.
Why This is a Game Changer
Zero Technique: You don't need a smoker or a grill to get professional results.
Minimal Cleanup: Since everything happens inside the foil, your baking sheet stays clean.
High Reward: The low temperature does all the hard work, giving you "steakhouse quality" ribs while you go about your day.
Pro Tip: If you have an extra 5 minutes, you can sauté some onions and garlic to add to the sauce for an even deeper flavor!
