Recipe: The Ultimate Air Fryer "Gold-Crust" Grilled Cheese

 



​Prep time: 2 minutes | Cook time: 8-10 minutes | Servings: 1

​Ingredients

​2 Slices Sourdough or Thick-cut Brioche (sturdy bread is best).
​2-3 Slices Sharp Cheddar or Gruyère (for the best melt).
​1 tbsp Mayonnaise (for the exterior).
​1 tbsp Unsalted Butter (for the interior).
​Optional: A pinch of Garlic Powder or Dried Oregano.

​Instructions

​Prep the Bread: Spread a thin layer of butter on the inside of both bread slices. Spread a generous layer of mayonnaise on the outside of both slices.
​Assemble: Place the cheese between the buttered sides of the bread.
​Air Fry: Place the sandwich in the air fryer basket. Cook at 370°F (185°C) for 5 minutes.
​The Flip: Flip the sandwich and cook for another 3-5 minutes, or until the crust is a deep, golden brown and the cheese is oozing.
​Rest: Let it sit for 60 seconds before cutting. This allows the cheese to set slightly so it doesn’t all run out.
