3-Ingredient Strawberry Magic Mousse

Prep time: 10 mins | Chilling time: 2 hours | Servings: 4

Ingredients

Strawberries: 1 lb (450g) fresh or frozen (thawed).
Egg Whites: 2 large egg whites (ensure they are at room temperature).
Sugar: 1/2 cup granulated sugar (or a sugar-free sweetener of your choice).

Instructions

1. Prep the Fruit
Wash and hull the strawberries. Place them in a food processor or blender and puree until completely smooth.
2. The "Magic" Whip
In a large, clean mixing bowl, combine the strawberry puree, the egg whites, and the sugar.
3. Beat Until Voluminous
Using a hand mixer or a stand mixer with the whisk attachment, beat the mixture on high speed.
The Transformation: At first, it will look like liquid. After about 5 minutes, it will start to turn pale pink and grow in volume.
The Result: Continue beating for a total of 8–10 minutes until the mixture is thick, fluffy, and forms stiff peaks (like a meringue). It should triple in size!
4. Chill and Serve
Spoon or pipe the mousse into dessert glasses or bowls. For the best texture, let them chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Quick Tips
The Bowl Matters: Make sure your bowl and whisk are completely grease-free, or the egg whites won't whip up.
Garnish: Top with a fresh mint leaf or a single sliced strawberry to lean into that "fancy" look.
Alternative: You can also do this with raspberries or blackberries for a different color and tartness.
Yum! I can see why that’s a family favorite—it’s light, airy, and looks like it came from a professional kitchen. Enjoy!
